Education should instil Philanthropy
Coimbatore: Academic studies should inspire people to become philanthropists, Mool Chand Sharma, vice-chairperson, University Grants Commission (UGC), said here on Saturday.
In his address at the first convocation of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (Deemed University), Mr. Sharma said: "Education is different from skill and training.
Acquire these but they should not overwhelm your vision of human solidarity, welfare and salvation. Use your skills for the service of the poor."
