Vocational Education to Nurture Labour Skills
Coimbatore: One of the major setbacks that the Indian industry faces is lack of skilled manpower. This problem could sort out by fostering Vocational Education and Training (VET), said Prof. M.C. Pant, Chairman of National Institute of Open School, New Delhi.
Speaking at the second Consultative meeting on VET at the Tamilnadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Prof. Pant said, “Education should be learner-centric. We should identify the competencies among individuals and guide them to pick up the right course so that they become skilled workers.”
