Skill Development and Vocational Training Included in the School Syllabus
Madurai: The State Government is “realigning” the school syllabus to focus on employability of students, Minister for School Education Thangam Thennarasu said on Friday.
“Several job-oriented aspects like skill development and vocational training will be included in the syllabus very soon at high and higher secondary levels,” he said.
The Minister told The Hindu that the School Education Department would redefine the role of vocational skills at the school level. Components that enhanced employability would be incorporated in the realigned syllabus.
