Regional Transport Officers to ensure Speed Breakers Near Schools

Chennai: Regional Transport Officers have been asked to take severe action, including temporarily suspending or cancelling licences of persons involved in an accident, depending on the severity of it.

A circular from the State Transport Commissioner has been sent to all the enforcement officers. It says Regional Transport Officers should lay speed-breakers near schools and install boards with the message ‘School zone, reduce speed.’
