Court Directive to District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) Principal

Chennai: The Madras High Court has made it clear that the Principal of the District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) should not make any visit to teacher training institutions until further orders.

In his interim order on a batch of writ petitions, Justice P. Jyothimani said it had been brought to the court’s notice by counsel for various institutions that the Principal, DIET, was suo motu inspecting various institutions to find out whether they had infrastructural facilities, etc.
