AIR Hostess Academy (ACA) to open more centres
Chennai: With competition in the air sharpening between air carries and poaching inevitable, the need to bride the gap for trained and skilled manpower has heightened. To meet the increased demand for talented staff, Delhi-headquartered Air Hostess Academy (ACA), which trains cabin crew and ground staff for the service industry including aviation, hospitality, and tourism sectors, has decided to add another five to six branches to its existing 30 centres by the end of this year. To be located in Kochi, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Amristar, Goa, and Bhubaneswar, each branch would involve an investment of Rs.70-80 lakh.
Founder and Chief consultant Sapna Gupta told Express that the new branches would be set up on the franchisee model for training cabin crew and ground staff for the service industry. At present 15 branches of AHA are on the self-owned model and the remaining run by franchisees. Franchisees would use AHA’s brand name at a cost of Rs.15 lakh and set up the infrastructure and run the centre while AHA would train the faculty, who would be drawn from the aviation, hospitality, and tourism sectors and provide a uniform course curriculum.
