Engineering Colleges will be encouraged to adopt schools

Salem: Anna University proposes to encourage every engineering college in the State to adopt five schools for improving school education standard, Vice-Chancellor D. Viswanathan has said.

Talking to reporters here on Monday, he said a number of engineering seats remained vacant as the colleges could not find students with the minimum eligible marks. The university and its affiliated colleges had a total of one lakh seats.
