Schools warned against not admitting HIV+kids

Chennai: The State Government will take stringent action against schools if they deny admission to HIV-affected students or discriminate against them in any manner, School Education Secretary M Kutralingam has said.

Addressing the State award function of the School AIDS Education Programme (SAEP) here on Thursday, Kutralingam said it was the duty of the district educational officers to ensure that HIV-affected children or their parents were not discriminated in schools.
