Coimbatore: Nearly 1,000 students appeared for the aptitude test held as part of the job fair that began at Bharathiar University, here on Saturday. Organised by the university for students of the 2004, 2005 and 2006 batches, the two-day fair had 11 companies-including those in software, insurance, logistics banks and container operations-recruiting candidates.
Most of the recruiters were from the financial sector. ABN Amro, Karvy, Expertus, Kotak Services, SBI Life Insurance and Maserk were some of the companies that participated. An e-tutoring company had also come.
