Coimbatore: People in the government and teachers should use data and statistics to make a subject more appealing to make a subject more appealing, said G. Thiruvasagam, Vice-Chancellor, Bharathiar University.
He was inaugurating a workshop on “Census data dissemination” organized by the Department of Geography, Nirmala College for Women, and here on Thursday.
He brought out various advantages society would derive out of correct data dissemination. It should create awareness among the public and the Government in such a way that something good came out of it, he said.
Census data dissemination was useful to administrators with respect to allocation of funds, for attending to social and economic problems and also to academicians.
