Autonomy for JIPMER opposed
Pondicherry: Trouble is once again brewing in JIPMER over the move of authorities to convert it into an autonomous institution.
With the Union Cabinet approving the proposal for converting JIPMER into an autonomous institution through an act of Parliament, the JIPMER Anti-Conversion Action Committee (JACAC) comprising staff associations of JIPMER is gearing up to oppose the change in status of the institution by organising a series of agitations.
