Central University, IIM in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Tamil Nadu will soon have a Central University and an Indian Institute of Management.

Acceding to a request from Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, Union Human Resources Development Minister Arjun Singh announced that the two institutions would be set up in the State.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, he said that when Mr. Singh met him in New Delhi, he promised that they would be set up. Tamil Nadu does not have a Central University or an IIM.
