Engineering Students Joining Post Graduate without AICET Approval
Coimbatore/ Salem: Following a recent order passed by the Kerala Government banning the students who have graduated from engineering colleges without AICTE approval from joining Post Graduate courses there, a Kerala-based parents' association has planned to stage stir at a college in Salem.
The government order (GO) has once again brought to the fore the jurisdiction dispute between deemed universities and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which last year led to campus violence.
“The Kerala-based parents' association of the Vinayaka Mission's KV Engineering College at Ariyannoor in Salem district convened a meeting in Kochi recently and the members decided to assemble in front of the college on Jan 2 to protest the GO.
