A Bridge between Past and Present

Newspaper in Education programme begins in three schools in Tirupur

Tirupur: A newspaper is also a mini library for readers. And it acts as a bridge between the past and the present, said K.R. Ramamoghan, resource person of The Hindu News Paper in Education programme.

It was inaugurated at St. Joseph's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vidhya Vikashni Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Velavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School here recently.

Students sat in rapt attention as the resource person explained the history of The Hindu, which was started by six young men during the British rule in 1878.
