Plan to award Credit Marks to Rural Students
Valparai: The State is reconsidering the decision to award five additional marks to students from rural areas in order to enable them pursue higher education, said K Ponmudi, Minister for Higher Education, here, today.
Speaking during the inauguration of the new constituent college of Bharathiar University (BU) in Valparai, the minister said, “Our efforts during an earlier occasion to implement the scheme was stalled as a person took the matter to the Court, But now, we are seriously considering it”.
