M.Tech at IIT beckons 15-yr-old Nellai prodigy
Tirunelveli: At 15, some of the ‘toughest’ exams and courses in Computer Science are child’s play for S.Chandrasekar of Tirunelveli, having scored 99.32 percent in the IIT entrance examination for M.Tech (computer science), the boy has achieved what many twice his age are struggling to attain.
“When Chandrasekar was just 5, he began exhibiting his keen interest in computers. He learned MS-DOS, LOTUS and MS-WORD all by himself”, says Subramanian, the boys father. Noticing Chandrasekar’s genius in the subject, one of Subramanian’s friends advised him to encourage the child. The rest is history.
