Classes commence at Theni Medical College
Theni: The classes for the first batch of MBBS students in the recently approved Theni Government Medical College built at a cost of Rs 100 core at Andipatti during the previous AIADMK regime commenced here on Friday.
The function, which was made a quiet affair sans any formal invitation extended by the State Government, was presided over by State Health Minister K K S S R Ramachandran. Tamil Nadu Special Representative Cumbum Selvendran, Periyakulam Congress MP Haroon and Bodi DMK MLA Lakhsmanan were present. AIADMK MLAs of the other assembly segments in Theni district including Andipatti MLA and Opposition leader J Jayalalithaa were not invited.
