Student Strength in Colleges Increases it has Already Crossed 70,000:VC
Salem: The student strength in the affiliated colleges of the Periyar University has registered a steep increase in the current academic year.
Compared to the last academic year (2005-06), when the university had about 55,000 students, this year student strength in the affiliated colleges has already crossed 70,000, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, T. Balakrishnan, said.
With admissions to the courses still going on in the colleges, the total strength was expected to go up further, he added.
