Swami Vivekananda Youth Leadership Award for Meenakshi College Student
R. Shanmugapriya, student council president of the Meenakshi College for Women, was given the second ‘Swami Vivekananda Youth Leadership Award’ on Sunday.
V.A. Somayajulu, Principal, India Bank Management Academy for Growth and Excellence (IMAGE), gave away the award in the presence of Bodhamayananda, Co-ordinator, Personality Development Project, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama (T. Nagar).
Talking to The Hindu, he said the award was instituted to encourage and recognise youth leadership. It would be presented to a college student or young professional in any field for excellence in character, leadership skills, responsibility and academics.
