Separate University for Education Colleges
The Association of University Teachers (AUT) Tamil Nadu has urged the State Government to establish a separate university for education colleges.
A resolution passed in this regard at the AUT General Council meeting held here on sunday said that such a move would help properly regulate and streamline the functioning of education colleges, which were mushrooming in the state.
In another resolution, the association wanted the universities in the state to strictly adhere to the university Act statutes while granting affiliation to new colleges and courses.
