Salem: Periyar University on Wednesday conducted a public viva voce through video conferencing for a student, who has submitted a PhD thesis and is living in the U.S.
The student, S. Rema, completed her thesis entitled Biodegradation of hydrocarbon polluted soil of Hosur (Krishnagiri district) and characterisation of biosurfactant from novel strain Fusarium oxysporum under the guidance of M. Rajasekarapandian, Head, Department of Biotechnology, Muthayammal College of Arts and Science College, Rasipuram.
