Avinashilingam University to Support HIV Positive Women
Coimbatore: Avinashilingam University will identify 10 women living with HIV / AIDS and extend medical care and social support to them, Saroja Prabhakaran, Vice-Chancellor, has announced.
Knowledge
Through these women, the knowledge about the disease and preventive measures would be taken across to a larger group in their neighbourhood, she added.
Addressing a seminar on HIV / AIDS here recently, she said strategic measures would be evolved by the university to address this problem and spread awareness about HIV / AIDS.
