Jet Airways Plans Academy to train Pilots, Engineers
Chennai: Jet Airways is considering setting up an academy here for maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft, and for training 200 pilots, engineers, ground staff and cabin crew.
“We are setting up the academy not only for our own use,” but also for the aviation industry to be in a position to export talent overseas in the way the information technology sector is currently doing, Naresh Goyal, chairman and founder, Jet Airways, said, speaking on the eve of Jet Airways’ inaugural flight from Chennai to Toronto, through Brussels.
