School Education Department Imposed a Ban on Use of Mobile Phones in Schools

Chennai: The School Education Department has decided to impose a ban on use of mobile phone in schools. The official announcement in this regard is expected in the next few days, possibly before the Assembly session commences (on October 17).

The CB CID (Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department) recently recommended to the State Government that phones with features such as camera and Bluetooth be banned in educational institutions.
