Invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for preparing proposal for Designing and Implementing e-Governance Project

University Grants Commission (UGC) is a statutory body established in 1956 by an act of parliament for the purpose of finding as well as coordinating, determination and maintenance of quality standards in higher education in India. The higher education in India includes around 300 universities affiliating more than 17, 000 colleges that enroll over 100 lakhs of students with a teaching community of about 5 lakh teachers.

The mandate of UGC includes promotion and coordination of higher education in India, setting standards of curriculum teaching evaluation and research in universities and colleges, monitoring developments in higher education disbursing funds of institutions, and serving as a link between various agencies of central and state governments. UGC implements its programme through 14 bureaus at Delhi and 7 regional centres across the country employing a workforce of about 800 peoples with an annual budget provision of more than 2500 crores.
