53 Complaints received against schools, teachers

Madurai: The Complaint Cell set up in Directorate of School Education in Chennai has received 53 complaints from students / parents in the last three days of its functioning against teachers and school managements.

Students from various districts began lodging complaints after the Government took an initiative to prevent teachers’ excesses against students on school campuses.

Chief Educational Officer of Madurai district R.Pandurangan told The Hindu on Wednesday that Government had asked the Education department officials in districts to write to schools about the cell.
