University for NRIs Soon, says Union Minister


Malappuram: Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi has said that a university will soon be set up in the country exclusively for non-resident Indians (NRIs) and people of Indian origin (PIOs).


Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had announced during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas early this year that the Government would consider setting up a PIO university to benefit millions of Indians working and settled abroad.
