Students told to Follow Ethical Principles
Chennai: Ethical principles should be followed at all times as they give clarity to actions and decisions of a person, observed M S Ananth, director, IIT-Madras.
Delivering a lecture on ‘Ethics and Freedom’, the 16th in a series of lectures on Values and Ethics, organized by the Anna University on Wednesday, Ananth drew parallel with grammar and ethics to drive home the point to the students. ‘‘Just like grammar gives clarity and predictability to language, ethics does the same to life,’’ he pointed out.
‘‘Though grammar and ethical concerns are also constraints when it comes to their usage, it enriches language and life,’’ he added. Strict adherence to these values was a must component to make life better, he said.
