No Change in MBBS Course Duration
Chennai: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on Sunday urged medical students in Tamil Nadu to call off their strike and felt that the agitation was “unnecessary” as the Centre was yet to take a final decision on making one-year rural service mandatory.
Talking to reporters after opening the Tamil Nadu Tobacco Control Coalition (TNCC), Dr. Ramadoss said that the Dr. Sambasiva Rao Committee set up by the Health Ministry to obtain the opinion of stakeholders was yet to visit two or three States before it could submit its final report.
