Medical University soon in Kerala, says Minister

Palakkad: Health Minister P.M.Sreemathy said here on Saturday that a Medical University would be started in the State soon.

Inaugurating the 50th anniversary celebration of the first Government of Kerala, the Minister said a Corporation would be formed for the purchase and sale of medicines.

She said work on upgrading hospitals in the State was progressing. Vacancies of nurses in government hospitals had been filled.

The Minister said medical colleges in the State were being modernized. The benefit of modern technology will be made available to medical colleges and district hospitals.

As part of it, a C.T. Scan was provided to the Thrissur Medical College.
