1,500 School Markets to be opened

Kozhikode: Minister for Corporation G.Sudhakaran said here on Saturday that Government-level agencies which were given the responsibility to control price rise had failed and increased market intervention by cooperative institutions such as Consumerfed had become necessary.

At the State-level inauguration of the State School Mart of the consumer Federation, the Minister said a proposal for intervention by cooperative institutions in the market every four months, for a period of 35 days each, to check prices of essential commodities had been placed for approval of the Government.
