Eligibility Criteria for Stipend Scheme
Chennai: Professional degree holders will not be eligible for the state government’s stipend scheme for unemployed.
Laying down the eligibility criteria for the scheme to be launched from October 1 benefiting about 5 lakh unemployed, the government has exempted regular students attending schools and colleges also from the stipend scheme.
G.O. 72 of Labour and Employment Department states that graduates and postgraduates were eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs 300. A Plus 2 would get Rs 200 and a mere SSLC pass certificate would give them only Rs 150 a month.
