Chennai to get its First Sailing School
Chennai: Chennai will soon get a sailing school, the second such water sport institute in the country, the first being in Bhopal.
To promote the water sport, which has so far been restricted to the elite and adventurous in India, the Union Ministry of Sports has entrusted the task of setting up sailing schools to the Yatching Association of India. The Chennai sailing school will be set up in association with the Tamil Nadu Sailing Association (TNSA) and the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.
