Mofussil Colleges excel in Science Disciplines
Coimbatore: The recently published undergraduate results of the Bharathiar University have proved to be an eye-opener. Disproving the fact that colleges in cities churn out the best as compared to their counterparts in the districts, mofussil colleges have come up with toppers in many subjects. Government colleges have also proved their mettle.
Toppers
In the 18 science disciplines the university had offered, city colleges have produced toppers only in six, while the rest have gone to colleges in Erode, Tirupur and Udhagamandalam. Erode colleges had toppers in six disciplines, Tirupur in five disciplines and Udhagamandalam got one.
