Teaching learning process in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan schools to undergo sees change

Chennai: The Rs.730-crore Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) project in Tamil Nadu is finally on track with renewed commitment to make leaning enjoyable for children being matched by a determination to ensure quality.

A significant change to be effect is in the teaching-learning process in SSA schools throughout the State, project director M.P. Vijayakumar who recently took charge said. “Through we have a mandate to make learning fun for children, at the field level, the emphasis is still on notes of lessons.” The programme was lacking when it came to delivering quality.
