NCERT begins Work on New Textbooks
New Delhi: Making an effort to think the knowledge in books with every appearances of students, the NCERT has begun work on preparing of new text books to the introduced next year.
The preparation of text books is on in full swing for classes II, IV, VII, X and XII, which will be introduced from April 2007, Prof M. A. Khader, head of the curriculum group of NCERT, said.
“The Major thrust of all text books will be establishing a link between school knowledge in different subjects to the life experience of students “, he said. To ensure this Khader said, a set of guidelines have been prepared by the Council.
